It’s ridiculous. M&S have brought some crazy level of tastiness to some of their range. That is the type of stuff avid cooks like myself spend hours preparing and still don’t get it consistent.
I’m talking about beef or chicken gravy and mashed potatoes. Two things that M&S do which rock my taste buds and are very simply to prepare. Yet don’t have additives or make you feel tired after eating.
Proceeding to the quality of fish and beef, I am amazed that they are truly the best fishmonger or butcher you could wish for. Steaks are properly hung. Fish is fresh like it should be and not frozen like other supermarkets.
Then there’s their bakery – muffins and pastries which are STREETS ahead of the competition.
Top it off with the well selected tinned range such as beef curry and you would be hard pressed to fault M&S - their food is prepared, it’s fast, it tastes great – it has no additives and is of a higher standard than any grocers.
Needless to say I drop £20-50 every week on M&S – perfect scallops and sea bass…mmmm…
